Volkswagen South Burlington not only has great sales and service teams, but a great selection of VW models to choose from. And coming soon is the 2011 Volkswagen Polo in Burlington, VT.
Heretofore unavailable in the U.S., the Volkswagen Polo will debut in the states this fall as a 2011 model. It will be VW's new entry-level car (slotted underneath the Golf) and will compete against cars like the Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit and Mazda 2. In typical Volkswagen fashion, the Polo will likely cost a bit more than these cars but in return should offer additional interior and road-going refinement.
Volkswagen South Burlington's Polo's styling is neatly tailored and crisp, while the cabin features quality materials and controls. The Polo is nearly a foot (11 inches) shorter than a Golf and will likely be powered by either a 1.4-liter- or 1.6-liter inline-4 (the Golf comes with a 2.5-liter inline-5). A 1.6-liter turbodiesel that's used in other markets may also become available. Transmission choices will consist of a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic. Though body styles and trim levels that will be offered here have yet to be set, a 2011 Volkswagen Polo four-door hatchback will likely debut first, followed by a two-door version. It's also possible that a high-performance GTI version will be offered. Check back later for a full review of the Volkswagen Polo with additional driving impressions and buying advice.
